Potty Training
Holly is becoming such a BIG girl! She is learning to use the potty. On Tuesday the 29th of July we began only putting her in a diaper for bed time, nap time, and if we were leaving the house. She has only had a few accidents, but usually figures out she's going, stops and finishes on the potty. I'm just so very proud of her.

My Baby is Two!
Is it possible that two years have come and gone already? It seems like just yesterday I was adjusting to being a new momma. And here you are such a big girl, walking and talking.
Waiting for you to arrive:

Here you are:

One year later:

And today:

You are growing up so very fast. I find myself often wishing that I could slow time down. Here's to a wonderful third year my love.

A Time for Changes

Wow, once again it's been way too long since my last update! The girls have done so many new things.
On July 3rd my Holly turned two. It seems like just yesterday I was seeing her for the first time. We had Grandpa Duane and Grandma Cindy, Papa Gene and Grandma Kitty, Nana and Papa Dow, Aunt Elena and Zane, Uncles Uriah and Ethan for a party. We had Spaghetti (her favorite) w/ cake and ice cream (also her favorite). The cake was Thomas the Train, she had seen it at the bakery so we suprised her w/ it. She got a baby doll stroller and a new bed. On the 5th she took her first nap in her new bed and has taken naps in it everyday since. On July 10th she decided she wanted to begin sleeping in her bed at night (she tucked herself in LOL). Her favorite thing to do is play outside and play w/ her toy kitchen (she says I cookin'). She is growing up so fast.
Kylie is also growing so fast! on June 9th she rolled over for the first time. On June 24th she sat all by herself for the first time. She is continuing to get stronger and stronger w/ the sitting, every day it's for longer periods of time before she tires and is ready to be picked up or falls over. However, she refuses to roll over again, I find this very odd but I guess it just goes to show you just how different kids are. I love watching all of the developements of both of my girls. As they learn new things it opens up a whole new world for them. Kylie has also began to take 1-2 hour naps each day in her own bed! I love the days that her nap overlaps big sister's because I get time to regroup and not be in such a bad mood for the afternoon.

New Milestones
Wow what a ride my life has become! I so love being a mommy to my girls! We seem to reach new milestones daily (some big and some small).
Holly is showing more of an interest in potty training every day. We finally decided to start working on it with her when we're at home, she doesn't wear a diaper except at nap time, bed time, and when we're out. She is growing her vocabulary on a daily basis, so we have realized how much we have to watch how and what we say. She is also learning to ride her tricycle, unfortunately she is like her mommy and the skills it takes to figure out how to steer and peddle at the same time develop a little slower than some (sorry baby). It makes me sad and happy all at the same time to see her growing up. I know that's what's supposed to happen yet I find myself wanting to slow time down some.
Kylie laughed for the first time today! What a fun suprise that was. I guess she thought it was funny that big sister was using mom as a jungle gym. She's beginning to try to turn over (from her back to her tummy- I guess she's gonna do the hard stuff first since she hates tummy time) she rolled up on her side the other day and has been doing it since, so it could be any day. She also loves to jabber non stop and uses inflections when doing so, it sounds like she's telling you a big story (so fun to listen to). What a big girl, she weighs somewhere around 15 1/2 lbs at just 3 months and is about 27" long!

Okay so I didn't weigh in yesterday. OOPs I meant to, I was going to weigh after I got done on the treadmill, but a baby needed to eat and then...... mommy brain. I have not lost any weight yet (still 170). But, I have been very diligent about my workouts. I'm sure that my family being in town last weekend (we ate out Fri, Sat, & Sun) and my date on Thursday didn't help. I hopefully will make some progress this week. I hope everyone else is doing better than I.

The Girls
Holly and Kylie are changing every day it seems.
Holly just adores being a big sister and frequently wants to hold Kylie. She wants to be a big helper to mom, throwing diapers in the trash, and even helping wash dishes (more water ends up on the floor and counter than in the sink but....oh well, I think it’s great). She’s even began showing an interest in potty training.
Kylie has been smiling for awhile now, but has began responding w/ a smile when someone is talking to her. She is 7 weeks today and I guess about 11-12 lbs already. (I know what a chunk). She slept through the night for the first time last night. I’m not going to hold my breath that she will continue every night like that, only time will tell

Kylie Grace

On the 29th I started contractions that came about 11/2- 2 minutes apart and slowly tapered off by morning. I continued to have them periodically throughout the day on the 30th. They began to pick up again about 6 pm but weren't consistant so we waited to go in when I was scheduled for inducement at 7am. I was already in labor so they let me walk at about 11 am I was dialated to a 5 and bulging bag of waters that they decided to break. Then failed to progress for 2 hours so they said I had to have pit .., that was the worst! Then had her about an hour after that.
